A Finely Balanced Battle

Punishing all women participants for the actions of a few cheaters. That sounds like grade school justice. Especially if all prizes have been correctly awarded. I question this decision.

I just wanted to greet the performance of @penguingim1 : he obtained this ranking by streaming AND by berserking a loooot ! For me, he has at least as much merit as Magnus and Alireza.

Big congratulations to him !
@gobbledyZero -- Nobody is pushing anyone anywhere. Women are free and welcome to join the tournament, together with the men. Chess is not a sport, where muscles or physical constitution matter. It's about mind and mind skills, and should not be split by gender.

Also, in a world where women (rightly) demand equality with men, discrimination has no place: negative OR positive. I don't recall these tournaments ever having prizes reserved specifically for *men*, so would there be prizes reserved specifically for women?!?
@Pashut save the sexist off-topic ramble for another forum. My point is not about whether women should be awarded separate prizes. It's about unfairly punishing all members for the crimes of the few.
