Losing based on leaving game

I recently lost due to supposedly leaving a 15 minute game. My time was on 13.03 and my opponents time was on 10.34.

It seems ridiculous that you can be told you've lost from leaving when you have more time than your opponent. I had to take a call which took approximately 2 or 3 minutes. In a situation where per move my opponent had less of a wait to play (by far) than me, this seems far too rapid a disqualification. Particularly on a 15 minute game.
Just never close the website and it won't happen (I think) else Lichess will think you left the game.
I'd assume that #knightsaysni was playing from the phone, and thus he couldn't keep it open while was speaking. If that's the case, it actually sounds fairly reasonable to expect.
I don't think Lichess or any chess app can make difference between you left the game to take a call or you left the game to use an engine. If you choose live games to play you'r expected to stay "live". It's not optional.
At least on Android you can just switch back to the app after starting the call.
@RapidVariants Yes but it's still going to look like a disconnection to lichess. As long as lichess uses any criteria other than just time to try and divine whether or not someone has given to on a game you're going to be at risk of aggressive memory management/phone calls/router problems/vehicle going into a tunnel and disconnecting you for a few minutes/seconds signifying that you've quit. I've never seen anyone explain how this is better than just using the remaining time in the game.

Ps. I actually saw disconnecting/reconnecting in the corner while I was writing this!
