Round Limited Tournamnets (like in Chess Cube) Suggestion

Subject tells it all i would like if there were Tournamnets thet are limited by rounds. So all players play same number of rounds. You can check Chess Cube to see what i think if you dont understand what i tallking about, anywey Chess Cube sux and i hope they die long live Lichess

really nobody wants round turnaments?

The was some sort of beta swiss tournament functionality in the works but it seems to have disappeared.

I too enjoy the feel of round-based tournaments. The arena format is great, make no mistake, but there is a real appeal to a 5, 7, or 9 round open (or perhaps rating restricted - like on Chess.com) swiss tournament.

Is swiss/round robin functionality that difficult to implement? Even if there aren't any "official" tournaments in this format the need to track them through another site such as challonge is annoying.

i think it woud not be hard to implement at all. Duno why they dont i dont like arena at all and i know my father wont play lichess cuz of that

Round robin and KO tournaments are a much needed feature in the tourney area. F.e. my club wants to organize one of his traditionell tourneys online for the first time in January 2016. But we can't use arena mode - has to be a traditionell swiss x rounds. I would like to use the best chess server, but we need round robin tournaments !
