People who continue to play after blundering a queen in the opening: WHY?

#28 I've done it blindfolded on stream against AI level 8 before, then repeated the exercise with B+B and then with B+N a couple times for good measure.
I almost never resign

I've blundered enough won games and had opponents blunder enough won games against me to know it isn't over

And, as I've heard said, you won't improve your endgames if you don't play them
You should be prepared to play the entire allotted time on the clock.
There must be some reason for the resign option. At some point it must be appropriate to resign some games. Yeah play on by all means if there is a reasonable hope of victory but lets not let bloody minded, stubborn optimism get in the way of opting for a gracious and sportsman like defeat which acknowledges your opponents superior play. If you watch cage fighting, even the most competitive and toughest fighters will give in rather than die.
This thread exists due to frustration. That frustration is rightly earned by people that dare to make decisions and draw ethical conclusions on the agreeable level of composure of the enemy.

Each player has a freedom to play any position in any style.

So if your opponent keeps playing without the queen then you can try to get more fun as well.

You can see some examples in my games by advanced search by adding a filter - number of turns: from 100 moves.

Good point. I like to try make as many queens as possible and I don't like it when my opponent resigns hahaha

Players better than me can go for lots of bishops or knights which is far more interesting
